Helen ParrThe Mundane WorldHelen Parr used to be the superhero Elastigirl, and is married to Mr. Incredible. Now she lives in a subdivision in Metroville because of the government mandate that all superheroes need to go into hiding. She has three children; Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack. She is a homemaker and lives a pretty average life trying to fit in and be “normal”. The Call To AdventureWhen she finds a tear that was fixed in her husband’s super suit, she knows that there’s only one person that Mr. Incredible would trust with a patch job - Edna. She goes to Edna’s house and finds out that Mr. Incredible has been doing hero work behind her back. She also finds out that along with a new suit for Mr. Incredible, Edna has made suits for the entire family. Crossing The ThresholdMrs. Incredible takes a plane to find her husband. While on the way there, she puts on the suit and finds that Violet and Dash have snuck on board. The Path of TrialsHer first trial comes when Syndrome fires upon her plane. The missiles hit and she grabs Violet and Dash, bailing out. In doing so she encourages them to use their powers to help. They land safely and swim towards shore with the combined powers of her children. She tells Violet and Dash to hide until she comes back. Going towards Syndrome’s base she finds Mr. Incredible and they manage to escape to where the children are hiding. Unfortunately they are captured and placed in an electronic cell. After escaping Mrs. Incredible works together with her family to destroy the robot and save the city. Master of Two WorldsAfter her family is safe, Mrs. Incredible realizes she has learned a lot on her journey. She doesn’t have to suppress her superhero side and she can still enjoy her time with her family, acting as a role model to mothers everywhere. Submitted by: Steve Kessel |
